Original Item: Only One Available. This is an exceptional set of United States Army-produced Camouflage HBT Coverall Fatigue Uniform in the iconic “Frogskin” pattern camouflage. These coveralls were designed to withstand the harsh conditions of combat in jungle and tropical environments. The reversible one-piece coverall is a unique feature that enhances its versatility and functionality. The cuffs are adorned with 13-star metal buttons, and the large cargo pockets flaps are reinforced with sturdy brass friction snaps. It is worth mentioning that although these coveralls were originally developed by the Army, they gained widespread recognition for their unparalleled performance during WW2 when the Marines utilized them in the Pacific Theater.
This set has been well-worn and shows significant signs of wear, including fading, tears and holes, but the overall condition is still good. Most of the wear and tear is concentrated on the shoulders, but the rest of the jacket remains intact. The CONMAR zipper is fully functional, which is a rare find given that most zippers of this age would have been heavily used. The unmarked snaps are also functional, adding to the jacket's longevity. Originally, the jacket was fitted with internal suspenders, but they proved to be impractical and were often removed. However, in this particular example, the suspenders have been retained.
A great set that comes more than ready for further research and display.
